Second Chance Heroes Veteran Employment and Supportive Services
Eligibility and Enrollment
To be eligible for the Second Chance Heroes Program, individuals must be veterans who are currently or have previously been incarcerated, and reside in one of the following counties: Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, Highlands, Hernando, or Manatee. Enrollment is ongoing, and our team is ready to assist with the application process and answer any questions you may have.

About the Program
The Second Chance Heroes Veterans Employment and Supportive Services Program is a pivotal initiative under the U.S. Department of Labor's Incarcerated Veterans’ Transition Program (IVTP). We are dedicated to serving justice-impacted veterans from Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, Highlands, Hernando, and Manatee counties, offering a comprehensive range of services designed to support their successful reintegration into society.
Our mission is to empower these veterans by providing targeted employment services, educational opportunities, and vocational training, aimed at reducing recidivism, enhancing life skills, and improving overall well-being. Through respect, dignity, and inclusion, we strive to help each participant not only return to society but also thrive as a valued, productive member of their community.
At the Second Chance Heroes Veterans Employment and Supportive Services Program, our mission is to empower justice-impacted returning veterans by providing comprehensive support and opportunities for meaningful employment.
